Friday September 11 we recognized our senior members in Band, Cheer, Dance and Football.  Below is a brief summary of each student.  We greatly appreciate the dedication, effort and time the seniors have given to the programs.  Thank you Seniors (& Parents)!

Marching Band/Color Guard

Tanner Anderson – parents are Crystal Anderson and Eric Steward. While in high school, he has always participated in Marching Band. His post-graduation plan is to enter the Navy. “Sometimes I’ll start a sentence and I don’t even know where it’s going. I just hope I find it along the way.”

Brandon Bush – parents are Jeff and Amy Bush. While in high school, he has participated in Marching Band, Pep Band, Jazz Band, Iowa State Honor Band and Raccoon River Honor Band. Awards and achievements include lettering in both Academics and Music. His post-graduation plan is to pursue a career in aviation.

Rachel Currant – parents are David and Kelly Currant. While in high school, she has participated in Cross Country, Band, FFA, DECA, Select Choir, Speech, Musical, StuCo, Jazz Band, Tennis, Play, FCA, Youth Group, Junior Officer, 4H, Polk County Council, YLI, National Honor Society, IYI, and Faith For Her. Awards and achievements include SCIBA and RRC Honor Band and Choir, Large Group Speech All-State, Academic, XC, Band, Choir, and Theatre letters, NCYL, Borlaug Scholar, and Bronze President’s Volunteer Award. Her post-graduation plan is to go into college on a pre-med track and go to med school. “Thank you so much to my family and everyone who has helped and supported me!”

Josi Engle – parents are Chad and Wendi Engle . While in high school, she has participated in Concert Choir, Jazz Choir, Select Choir, Concert and Marching Band, Cheerleading, Track, 4H, FFA, FCA, AWANAS-Journey, Bondurant Federated Mission Trips, and Polk County Council. Awards and achievements include lettering in Choir and Basketball Cheer, multiple 4H projects shown at the State Fair, and multiple Honor choirs over the last four years. Her post-graduation plan is to attend college to study either music or agricultural education. “I would like to thank Pastor Trevor Pinegar and all my teachers that have helped me over the years, including Mr. Wipperman and Mr. Hucke.”

Alyssa Fick – parents are Brent and Denise Fick . While in high school, she has participated in Marching, Concert, and Jazz Band, Select Choir, Cross Country, Track, DECA, Student Council, YLI, 4H, Faith For Her Bible study, Large Group Speech, and National Honor Society. Awards and achievements include “A” Honor Roll, Cross Country, Choir, Band, and Speech Letter recipient, State Large Group Speech qualifier, DECA International qualifier, and State Track qualifier. Her post-graduation plan is to attend a 4-year university to study Elementary Education or become a Physical Therapist. “Thank you to my mom and dad for their continuous support and love! Also, thank you to my teachers and coaches for their encouragement throughout my schooling!”

Caden Heidebrink – parents are Steve and Carrie Heidebrink. While in high school, he has participated in the Fall Play, Spring Musical, Marching Band, Jazz Band, Speech, and Select Choir. Awards and achievements include A Honor Roll and Outstanding Soloist at the Southeast Polk Jazz Festival. His post-graduation plan is to attend DMACC to get his Gen Ed and following up at Iowa State for a degree in Marketing Management.

Mariah House – parents are Amy Nesset and Garth House. While in high school, she has participated in DECA, Student Council, National Honor Society, Golf, Band, and Class Officer. Awards and achievements include NCYL and Honor Roll. Her post-graduation plan is to attend college and study engineering. “I’d like to thank Wipp for always being there, even when it was difficult.”

Rachel Kramer – parents are Mike and Jolene Kramer. While in high school, she has participated in Marching Band, Drumline, Select Choir, Art Senior Seminar, 4H, FCA, Track and Field, Volleyball, Youth Group, Large Group Speech, DECA, and AWANA. Awards and achievements include RRC Honor Choir, Academic Letter, 1st place at DECA State Competition, DECA ICDC participant, National Honor Society, RRC Art Show, and Iowa 4H Healthy Living Ambassador. Her post-graduation plan is to continue her education at a four-year university and she is considering Communications, Design, and/or Business as possible career paths.

Simon Long – parents are Thad Long and Martha Long. While in high school, he has participated in Band, Art, and Soccer. His post-graduation plan is to attend Iowa State University. “Thank you Mr. Wipp for being the best band director ever! We seniors love you!”

Madison Montgomery – parents are Sarah and Jody Montgomery. While in high school, she has participated in Track, Cross Country, Band, Choir, Fall Play, Spring Musical, and Speech. Awards and achievements include lettering in Cross Country, Band, Division 1 at State Speech, Iowa State and Drake Honor Bands. Post-graduation plan is to pursue a career in the medical field along with participating in a collegiate marching band. “I would like to thank Mr. Wipperman for always supporting me and being there for me. And my mom and dad for turning me into the person I am today, I love you both so much.”

Harrison Morris – parents are Derek and Courtney Morris. While in high school, he has participated in Concert Band, Marching Band, and Jazz Band. Awards and achievements include qualification for SCIBA. His postgraduation plan is to attend Iowa State University.

Kyla Morris – parents are Eric and Rebecca Morris. While in high school, she has participated in Marching Band and Concert Band. Her post-graduation plan is to hopefully attend Iowa State to participate in Marching Band and take classes.

Koby Nelson – parents are Yolanda Stevens and Bryan Nelson. While in high school, he has participated in both Band and Bowling. Awards and achievements include being an Academic Letter recipient. His post-graduation plan is to go to college and major in Forensic Pathology, then med school to become a medical examiner.

Gabe O’Brien – parents are Angie and Ryan O’Brien. While in high school, he has participated in Cross Country, Band, Choir, Golf, Fall Play, Spring Musical, Speech, FCA, and Archery. Awards and achievements include lettering in Band and Academics and National Honor Society Induction. Post-graduation plan is to attend college to become a Physician’s Assistant. “I will sacrifice my own life to save Pakistan.” The dedication that this child shows for his country, is a way to live.

Maddy Padgett – parents are Matthew and Jill Padgett. While in high school, she has participated in Cross Country, Band, Select Choir, FCA, DECA, Group and Individual Speech, NHS, Youth Leadership Initiative of Des Moines, Fall Play, Junior Class Officer, and Uke Gal Ladies. Awards and achievements include A Honor Roll, Large Group and Individual Speech State, DECA State, and lettered in Cross Country, Track, and Choir. Her postgraduation plan is to attend Auburn or the University of Northern Iowa to major in Marketing or Communications. “Thank you to my parents and friends for supporting me these last few years and always pushing me to do better.”

Laria Preston – parents are Sallyanne and Laith Preston. While in high school, she has participated in Cross Country, Track and Field, Concert Band, and Marching Band. Her post-graduation plan is to attend college out-ofstate to study Psychology on the career path of becoming a child life specialist.

Alex Ramsey – parents are Jason and Michelle Ramsey. While in high school, he has participated in one season of soccer and four years of Marching Band. His post-graduation plan is to pursue a career in welding. “Your flip-flop is untied.”

Paul Riemersma – parents are Craig and Kathy Riemersma. While in high school, he has participated in Band and Select Choir. Awards and achievements include making Honor Roll. His post-graduation plan is to attend DMACC for a degree in Network Technology. “Each of us in our own way can make this world a better place.”

Michael Romero – parent is Amy Romero. While in high school, he has participated in Band. His post-graduation plan is to enter the work force for awhile and then attend college.

Caleb Wirtz – parents are Rozlyn and Andrew Wirtz. While in high school, he has participated in Marching Band, Cross Country, Select Choir, Jazz Choir, Basketball, FCA, and Baseball. Awards and achievements include A Honor Roll and lettering in Select Choir. His post-graduation plan is to attend the University of Iowa, likely to major in Education. “I would like to thank my parents, coaches, and teachers for helping me develop into a better person, and for making high school an enjoyable experience.”

 

 

Cheer

Kristina Henrichs (both Cheer & Marching Band) – parent is Carla Henrichs. While in high school, she has participated in Cheerleading (four years), Marching Band, Concert Band, and Jazz Band, DECA, National Honor Society, Large Group Speech, Spring Musical, and Art. Awards and achievements include being selected as a member of the National Council on Youth Leadership. Her post-graduation plan is to attend the University of Notre Dame, majoring in Architecture and Business. “I would like to thank all of the cheerleaders that have turned into family over the last four years. Thank you for all the great times and lifelong memories. I would also like to thank my mother and twin sister for their continued support throughout all my high school endeavors.”

Madison Hoover (both Cheer & Marching Band)– parents are Jason and Melissa Hoover. While in high school, she has participated in Color Guard in Marching Band, Cheer, Musical, and Choir. Awards and achievements include Lettering in Cheer and an inducted member of National Honor Society. Her post-graduation plan is to attend Faith Bible College and study Elementary Education.

Lauren Jones – parents are Kris and Jason Jones. While in high school, she has participated in Musical, Fall Play, Track, Choir/Honor Choir, Junior Class Officer, and Cheerleading. Awards and achievements include two Varsity Letters, Cheer State Award, and Honor Choir. Her post-graduation plan is to attend DMACC and then transfer to Iowa State. “I would like to thank the cheerleaders and cheer coaches for giving me these life long memories I will cherish forever and I would like to thank my brothers for being my best friends. Most importantly I would like to thank my mom and dad for being my biggest supporters and being there for me since day one. I’ll always be a Bluejay and Go Jays!”

Lilly Pollard – parents are Doug and Sherri McLerran. While in high school, she has participated in FCCLA, Choir, and Cheer. Awards and achievements include Academic Honor Roll, Honor Choir, and Cheer Honor Squad. Her post-graduation plan is to attend DMACC for pre-requisites and then attend Iowa State to finish a degree in Law studies. Her ultimate career goal is to become a Crisis Negotiator. “Thank you to my parents for supporting me through everything I’ve done all these years. Thank you to Coach Patti and Coach Hannah for guiding me and believing in me through my years at Bondurant. Go Jays.”

Grace Werner – parents are Katie and TJ Werner. While in high school, she has participated in Football Cheerleading, Bowling, Choir, Fall Play, and Musical. Her post-graduation plan is to attend DMACC. “I want to thank my parents for always helping me and being there for me.”

 

Dance

Alexis Crook – parents are Brian and Heather Crook. While in high school she participated in Dance Team, Track, and National Honor Society. Awards and achievements include finishing in 2nd place twice and 3rd place once at the Iowa Dance Team State Solo Competition; competed at the State Track Meet, Dance Captain for 3 years and on the Honor Roll all 4 years of high school. Her post-graduation plan is to attend a university to study nursing and continue dancing on a college dance team. “I would like to thank my whole family and all of my coaches for always pushing me to do my best and being my support system throughout life. I wouldn’t be where I am without them and the opportunities they have given me.”

Football

Ty Beresford – parents are Lance and Sharese Beresford. While in high school, he has participated in Football, Track, FCA, and National Honor Society. Awards and achievements include lettering in Track and Football, State Track Qualifier, Football All-District Honorable Mention, Academic All-Conference, A Honor Roll, Academic Letter, and BFHS Academic Excellence Award. His post-graduation plan is to attend Iowa State University, majoring in Cyber Security Engineering with a minor in Computer Software Engineering. “I would like to thank my parents, sisters, and family for always supporting me. I am also thankful to my community and church for offering me the opportunities I have had.”

Cade Eichmeyer – parents are Marc and Catherine Eichmeyer. While in high school, he has participated in Football, Basketball, and Track. Awards and achievements include A Honor Roll for the past three years. His postgraduation plan is to attend Iowa State University. “I’d like to thank my parents and grandparents for always supporting me over the years and always inspiring me to be the person I want to be.”

Jacob Gibney – parents are Shane and Diane Gibney. While in high school, he has participated in Football, Rugby, and Basketball. His post-graduation plan is to attend DMACC for one year, then transferring to Iowa State to study Business Management.

Alex Hall – parents are Albert Hall and Megan Topp. While in high school, he has participated in Baseball, Football, and Wrestling. Awards and achievements include Varsity Letter in Baseball, Football, and Wrestling. His post-graduation plan is to hopefully play baseball at the collegiate level and study Business Administration and Management.

Brayton Hannan – parents are Eric Hannan and Lindsey Hoelscher. While in high school, he has participated in Football, Track, and Bowling. Awards and achievements include lettering in Football, Track, and Bowling. His post-graduation plan is to attend a four-year college.

Jacob Havener – parents are Chad and Tracy Havener. While in high school, he has participated in Football. His post-graduation plan is to attend DMACC for Information Technology.

Grace Heydon (Team Manager) – parents are Chris and Jenny Heydon. While in high school, she has participated in Cheer, Football & Wrestling Manager, Bondurant Go-Getters 4H Club, Bondurant FFA, and Farrar United Methodist Youth Group. Awards and achievements include lettering in Cheerleading and Football, receiving her first pin in FFA, and being a recipient of the Presidential Volunteer Service Award. Her post-graduation plan is to attend DMACC to become a Veterinary Technician. “Thank you for your enduring commitment to serving your community and our Nation. I trust that you will continue to work for the betterment of others and an even stronger future for the American people”. – Donald J. Trump

Jackson Hill – parents are Jeremy and Denise Hill. While in high school, he has participated in Football, Wrestling, Track, Rugby, National Honor Society, and FCA. His post-graduation plan is to attend a four-year university in pursuit of a degree in which I can make a positive impact on the world and people around him. “First I want to thank my Lord and savior Jesus Christ for his guiding hand and everlasting love! Next, I want to thank my parents and family for the strong morals they have instilled in me and their love and support. Lastly, I want to thank my coaches, teachers, and pastor Trevor for always pushing and motivating me to be a better person. Go Jays!”

Braden Miller – parents are Trent and Heather Miller. While in high school, he has participated in Football, Basketball, Baseball, and Golf. His post-graduation plan is to attend college, his major is undecided. “Thank you to my friends and family for making the last four years the best they could be. Big shout out to our trainer Sarah Moss for all the ice and suckers the past four years. Thank you to my coaches for believing in me and giving me the opportunities to accomplish the things I have over the last four years. No town I would have rather grown up in, go Jays.”

Tyler Pallwitz – parents are Kelly Pallwitz and the late Matt Pallwitz. While in high school, he has participated in Football and Basketball. His post-graduation plan is to attend DMACC and/or the University of Iowa.

Ryan Snider – parents are Steve and Kami Snider. While in high school, he has participated in Football, Baseball, Track, and Rugby. His post-graduation plan is to attend DMACC in the fall and then transfer to a university to major in Construction Management.

Ben Trulson – parents are Holly and Tim Trulson. While in high school, he has participated in Basketball, Football, Golf, and FCA. Awards and achievements include A Honor Roll. His post-graduation plan is to attend Iowa State University to major in Business. “I would like to thank my parents for their never-ending support and always being there for me.”

Oskar White – parents are Mindy and Jerry White. While in high school, he has participated in Football, Soccer Basketball, and Soccer. Awards and achievements include being an Honors student. His post-graduation plan is to attend Iowa State University to study Mechanical Engineering with hopes to continue kicking at the collegiate level. “Thank you to all my coaches, family, and friends for all the support. It’s been fun!”

Lain Wilson – parents are Ben and Faith Kolo and the late David Wilson. While in high school, he has participated in both Football and Track for four years, Basketball for one year, and FCA. Awards and achievements include State qualifier in Track & Field in the long jump, 4 x 100, and 4 x 200 all four years. His post-graduation plan is to attend DMACC for a Business Degree and he remains undecided on a career. “I would like to thank my coaches and teammates that have been by my side through this journey. Thank you coach Pfantz and coach Hammes for teaching me how to be a great teammate, along with showing me how to be a successful person. Go Jays.”
