Today Nicolas Lohse signed his letter of intent to play football at the University of Northwestern at St. Paul! Nicolas choose the school because of the community and family atmosphere. Nicolas enjoyed when he visited and said he felt a good bond with the school & coaching staff. Nicolas also had a connection as his father attended school there. Nicolas has yet to decide what he will study when he heads off to school. Nicolas is preparing for the transition to college football by working out on a regular basis and plans to begin the Northwestern strength & conditioning program this summer. Bondurant-Farrar Head Coach Zach Pfantz said, “Nicolas has a great team first attitude. He’s a passionate and positive player who worked hard and did the right things. He earned a big role on our team and had a great season.” Coach Pfantz also said, “Northwestern is getting a really good young man that will work hard and care about others!” Northwestern Head Coach Matt Moore gave the following comments, “The University of Northwestern-St. Paul seeks men who have a desire to grow in faith and character, while competing at a high level on the football field, and we think Nicolas Lohse fits right in! Nicolas has proven himself as a strong football player and leader, and we are excited to have him wearing a UNW football uniform. We as a coaching staff look forward to seeing Nicolas making plays at wide receiver for the next several years the same way he has done his throughout his high school career. Quality young men like Nicolas who have hearts for others and want to excel in life are what UNW football is about, and Nicolas Lohse is going to be a great addition to our football family!” We wish Nicolas the best of luck!
