Bluejays News · Collins Signs with William Penn Baseball!

This morning Senior Jordan Collins signed his letter of intent to play baseball at William Penn in Oskaloosa.  Jordan decided on William Penn because of the feel he got when visiting the school.  Jordan also had a good feel about the coaching staff and players on the team.  Jordan plans on studying business management.  Jordan has already begun preparations for collegiate baseball by extra workouts, baseball specific drills and of course playing his senior season this summer for the Bluejays!  William Penn Head Baseball Coach Mike Laird first noticed Jordan when he was recruiting current William Penn player (and former Bluejay) Tanner Bedier.  Coach Laird said’ “Jordan is big, fast, powerful young man who was a tremendous multi-sport athlete in High School.  He is a good student and a good fit for our program.  We look forward to getting Jordan in so he has the opportunity to reach his full academic and athletic potential.”  Bluejay Head Baseball Coach Brad Hamilton believes Jordan has a very high ceiling, as now he can concentrate on further development of his baseball skills.  Coach Hamilton is still looking forward to having Jordan around this summer, as he has gotten better every year and been a big part of the runs to the state tournament the last two years.  Wrapping up Coach Hamilton said, “Jordan is athletic, hard-working, multi-sport student athlete, who has been a great leader and role model for our school & underclassmen.”
