The Winter sports season is currently on a short break with the holidays, but below we have included a few updates for you before we resume competition after the new year! Go Bluejays!


HS Bowling has gotten off to a fast start with boys currently standing with a 5-1 record and the girls with a 4-2 record.  The teams have broken several team and individual records thus far.  The bowlers return to action Saturday January 5th at Excit-a -Bowl in Pella 1 pm start.

The high school boys basketball team as evened its record at 4-4 heading into the winter break!  After a tough 1-3 start the Bluejays have responded with three victories in a row!  First the team snuck out of Boone with a 62-60 victory!  Next the guys overcame a tough Saydel team to pull out a 57-52 win!  Last on Friday December 21st the Bluejays defeated a solid Knoxville team by the score of 56-46!  The team returns to action on Friday January 4th, when they host ADM 7:30 approximate tip time!


The high school girls team heads into the winter break with an overall record of 6-3 and winners of their last 3!!  The girls took down Boone 51-48, then topped Saydel by the score of 57-19 and lastly knocked off previously unbeaten Knoxville 58-46!  The girls have beaten 3 ranked teams thus far this season (Carroll, Boone, Knoxville).  The girls return to action Friday January 4th when they host the current conference leaders ADM.  ADM currently sits atop the Raccoon River Conference with a record of 5-0 and 8-2 overall.  Game time 6:00 pm!

The high school wrestling team is off to a fast start, as they won our home Ken Estling Duals on December 1st!  The team currently stands with an 11-3 dual record!  Before the break on Thursday December 20th the team traveled to the Charger Dome in Chariton for a double dual with them and Fairfield.  The team returned home with 67-3 win over Fairfield and a 55-22 win over the Chargers!  Riley Anderson (106) is currently ranked 5th and Colby Lillegard (113) 3rd in class 2A, both are undefeated with 19-0 records.  The last regular season home meet (& senior night) is on Thursday January 17th when the Bluejays take on ADM & Carroll in a conference double dual 5:30 pm start.  The team returns to action on Saturday January 5th when the Varsity team heads to Atlantic for a tournament and the JV heads to Ankeny.
