Track season has begun even though the weather doesn’t want to admit it is track season yet. With snow flurries still in the forecast, the indoor season is in full force as the Bondurant-Farrar girls and boys track teams had their first taste of competition in 2018.
The girls traveled to Cedar Falls to participate at the Dickinson Relays in the UNI-Dome on Tuesday. Both the boys and girls teams traveled to Pella on Friday to compete in the Pekin Indoor Meet at Central College. Strong performances by both squads as many athletes achieved personal bests. Some younger athletes were able to get a taste of high school competition.
Both squads will head to Pella again this coming Thursday to compete in their final indoor meet of the season before they transition to the outdoor season. The boys will begin the outdoor season at Johnston on March 22 before hosting a coed meet with the girls on March 26 at Bluejay Stadium.
